Ten Haag "proud" after 2-2 draw, Keane slams "Have you been drinking?"

Manchester United legend Roy Keane (53) has criticized the attitude of Eric ten Haag (54).

Manchester United drew 2-2 with Liverpool in the "North West Derby" in the 32nd round of the 2023-2024 Premier League season at Old Trafford in Manchester, England, on Sunday at 11:30 p.m. ET.

Needing three points to move into fourth place, United had to settle for a point. With 49 points (W15 D4 L12), United remained in sixth place in the league. A whopping 11 points separate them from fourth- and fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.

United had a difficult game. They went behind to Luis Dias in the 23rd minute of the first half. They turned things around in the second half. Bruno Fernandez scored in the 5th minute and Kobi Mainu in the 12th minute to make it 2-1.

That was it. United conceded a penalty to Mohamed Salah in stoppage time and the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

According to an Aug. 8 report in the UK's Daily Mail, legendary United midfielder Roy Keane was furious after watching the game. 안전놀이터 Keane's anger was directed at head coach Eric ten Haag.

"I encouraged the players at half-time to win this game," he said after the game. Mainu's goal was a very good 'team goal' and I'm very proud of it, a great goal," he said.

Ten Haag added: "On the one hand, I'm really proud. I can see how we are developing and the incredible potential of this squad."

To which Keane replied, "Listen, I think he had a couple of glasses of wine after the game. I don't know how strong it was, but he was positive. The way United played was like a mid-table, or 'small club'. "I don't know what's going to happen now," he said, criticizing Van Gaal's attitude.

Keane argued that United need to get more excited about the competition if they want to win major trophies again. "United are fighting for fourth or fifth place with Villa and Tottenham. They are far behind Tottenham and Villa. So I don't understand Ten Haag's 'positivity'," he emphasized.
